<p>Kyle is a graduate of the University of Sydney and St George’s University of London and brings a wealth of experience in Emergency Medicine and ICU. His previous positions with institutions such as Addenbrooke Hospital (Cambridge University Trust) and Gold Coast Hospital underscore his expertise.</p>
<p>Kyle plays a pivotal role in bolstering our medical team’s efforts to deliver secure, well-coordinated, and effective care to all patients.</p>

<p>Alice has a passion for telehealth and helping young families, particularly those in rural and regional Australia.</p>

<p>Dr Emefa is a passionate Australian medical professional and Emergency Doctor with the Royal Price Alfred Hospital in Sydney and is a tutor at the University of Sydney Clinical School.</p>
<p>Emefa is married with a 7-month-old daughter who keeps her up at night. Her bucket list items include working on a cruise ship, doing wilderness medicine courses in Antarctica and Everest Base Camp and volunteering with MSF in the Middle East. She is still trying to achieve fluency in French.</p>

Why Healthylife?

<p>A telehealth appointment is when you speak to a doctor or other healthcare professional via phone instead of in person at a clinic.</p>
<p>Online appointments are usually conducted virtually, and may use video as well as audio.</p>

<h5>What is a telehealth or online appointment?&nbsp;</h5>

<p>A telehealth consultation is much like a regular appointment, but you will be speaking (and sometimes seeing) your healthcare professional online in a video-call using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.</p>

<h5>How does a telehealth appointment work?</h5>

<p>No. Healthylife connects you with doctors registered in Australia with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) in order for them to conduct your telehealth (or online) appointment.</p>

<h5>Does healthylife conduct doctor telehealth appointments?</h5>

<p>If the doctor you speak to determines you are eligible for a prescription, they will issue you one at the time of the appointment. Our prescription service is for the renewal of regular medications only. Your prescription will be delivered to you via SMS directly from the doctor you speak with.&nbsp;</p>

<h5>Can you get prescriptions via a telehealth appointment?</h5>

<p>Doctor telehealth appointments accessed via Healthylife are not eligible for bulk billing. The cost per appointment is displayed on the page, depending on the selected appointment type, and the doctor you speak with will collect payment via a suitable method through their platform.</p>

<h5>Are telehealth appointments bulk billed?</h5>

<p>Telehealth is suitable for a wide range of people. If it is not suitable for you, the healthcare professional you book with will alert you prior to the appointment.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Doctor telehealth services are best suited when you cannot access your regular doctor.</p>

<h5>Can anyone use telehealth?</h5>

<p>An express consultation is a convenient way to request a script, get advice, or receive treatment for common medical issues, Australia wide, 7 days a week.</p>
<p>Complete a pre-consultation request and Medmate doctors will review the information and then conduct your consultation via phone or video. Scripts can be issued by SMS, if deemed clinically appropriate by the doctor. Please note, Medmate doctors will not prescribe any restricted medications.</p>

<h5>What is an express consultation?</h5>

<p>A naturopath can help guide you with many things related to health and wellness including supplements, lifestyle habits to help support wellbeing, and natural and complementary medicines.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Healthylife in-house team of naturopaths conducts the naturopath discovery calls. These&nbsp;are short, 15 minute calls to discuss a range of things. In cases where we feel you need to speak to your usual naturopath or doctor, we will refer you onwards.</p>

<h5>What can a naturopath help me with?</h5>

<p>Dependant on your needs:</p>

  <li>Naturopath appointments are 15 minute discovery calls - these may end in us referring you back to your usual naturopath or doctor.	</li>

<h5>What if I am not satisfied with the doctor or naturopath’s telehealth service?</h5>

<p>Please allow a 10 minute wait time once the time slot has passed, in case the doctor is running a little over time with previous appointments.</p>

<h5>Why hasn’t the doctor called me?</h5>

<p>Doctor service: 9am - 11pm AEST or AEDT, 7 days a week. Doctors' appointments only available 9am - 10pm AEST or AEDT, 7 days a week. Same day appointments for bookings with a doctor are typically available when made prior to 10pm AEST or AEDT. Any appointments or consults booked after 10pm on a given day will be processed the next day. Christmas day trading hours are 8 am-6pm AEDT.</p>
<p>Naturopath service: 10am - 4pm AEST or AEDT Monday- Friday.</p>

Telehealth services are best suited when you cannot access your regular doctor.</p>
